High School Etiquette:

Confidence for College, Careers, and Beyond

Prepare your high school student to enter future opportunities with confidence, courtesy, and professionalism! This engaging one-day etiquette course teaches practical skills that students will use during college events, scholarship interviews, job interviews, business dinners, internships, and other important social and professional occasions.

Students will learn how to make a strong and respectful first impression through a confident handshake, appropriate eye contact, proper introductions, good posture, and polite conversation. They will also develop confidence in essential table manners, including navigating a place setting, using utensils correctly, passing food graciously, participating in conversation during a meal, and handling common dining situations with poise.

The course also emphasizes respectful behavior, thoughtful communication, and consideration for others—qualities that help young adults stand out for all the right reasons. Students will learn that good manners are much more than knowing which fork to use. Manners demonstrate maturity, self-respect, kindness, and an awareness of the people around them.

As students prepare for college and the professional world, academic knowledge alone may not be enough. Employers, professors, scholarship committees, and future colleagues notice how a young person communicates, carries themselves, and treats others. Knowing what to do in an unfamiliar situation reduces stress and allows students to focus on the opportunity before them.

This one-day course gives high school students the confidence to walk into a room, introduce themselves, enjoy a professional meal, and interact respectfully—without feeling anxious or unsure. These are not simply etiquette skills for one event; they are valuable life skills that can open doors and prepare students for a successful future.
