About the American Society of Junior Cotillions
The American Society of Junior Cotillions (ASJC) is a character education and etiquette program dedicated to developing confident, respectful, and socially skilled young people. Through structured instruction in social etiquette, ballroom dancing, and leadership development, ASJC provides upper elementary and middle school students with the tools they need to navigate social and academic settings with poise and courtesy.
ASJC programs are designed to instill timeless values such as respect for self and others, personal responsibility, integrity, and gracious conduct. Students receive guided instruction in dining etiquette, introductions and conversation skills, correspondence, hosting and guest responsibilities, and formal social dance. Each lesson is presented in an engaging and age-appropriate format that builds confidence while reinforcing character.
Led by trained and certified directors, local ASJC chapters maintain high standards of professionalism, consistency, and excellence. The program serves as both a social education experience and a foundation for lifelong leadership and civility.
